A woman with dark features and pale skin, smiling. She also has a nose piercing and a winged eyeliner look.

I am an Ecuadorian-American poet, writer, and aspiring designer. My debut micro-chapbook, A Delirium of Flowers, is out now through Ghost City Press.

My poetry has been published in Luna Luna Magazine, Half Mystic Journal, and Kitchen Table Quarterly. In 2018, I was awarded the Cypress Dome’s Editor’s Choice Award for Best Poetry in Volume 18. In 2023, I graduated with an MFA in Writing degree from the Vermont College of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy.

When I am not working at the library or on creative projects, I am in charge of an email newsletter, The Poet’s Library. This newsletter focuses on the craft process and cultural investigations of the poetic interior. You can subscribe to this monthly newsletter at the link above.

“a splintering of midrib, / the creaking of wind, / talk loosening into drivel, / the onomatopeic silence / reverberating through: // a ballpoint pen / scratching out a meditation on a napkin, / that napkin fluttering / in a palm, open and outstretched…”

This micro-chapbook of poems follows a girl’s obsession with dreams, nature, and symbolism everywhere while suffering from depression, social anxiety, and homesickness. It is a narrative of mental descents… and the desire to find ourselves and make sense of the world as it becomes even more confusing.
